There is now a fee charged per night at this site, collected in the evening by Council Ranger. Worth it though, great to have rubbish bins (and recycling, haven't seen them much in Tassie), water and a dump point, plus an off-leash doggie park adjacent to the site! Views of Cradle Mountain too ??

This is a nice place to stop over. A $5.00 daily fee applies (Feb 2017). Toilets are bring your own paper. A bit of a walk into town. Try the RSL meals with a $10.00 roasts on Sundays.

This is a hard surface area behind the sports oval with some grassed areas. It is conveniently located not far from the main town. There is no shade and it is a bit open to winds. DP and water are available.

Great spot to camp, has an off-leash area for the furkids, fresh water and dump point. The towns buildings are painted with murals. The fudge shop is a must try. The steam train trip is great fun too.

Toilets were not available. Generally pretty flat area (we didn't require chocks), wide grassy perimeter, gravel centre. Very comfortable with easy walk to town.

A very comfortable camping area, good solid base for vehicles. We had fruit trees growing beside us, but no produce. Entertainment was provided by the local cricket match. Water tap in the corner of the area. A lovely town to visit with amazing art and a fabulous coffee shop selling 'venison and stout' pies. The caretaker came at 5.30pm to collect $10 fee and issue permit for display on windscreen.
