The Location

Hard Hill Tourist Reserve is located close to town in a natural bush setting and has adequate facilities for “On Off Road Camping”.

This precinct is “Home to the Minelab Wedderburn Detector Jamboree” & the “Inglewood & District Community Bendigo Bank Junior Gold Panning Competition” held Saturday & Sunday of the Victorian Labour Day Long Weekend.

Visitors can view the working eucalyptus stew pot at all times but days of operation are Monday to Thursday or prior group booking. Walk around the base of Hard Hill enjoying the flora & fauna, stroll to the top of Hard Hill and see the old gold mine from the diggings days. View the gold puddler and by appointment visit the gold stamper battery.

The campsites are bush and on a dirt surface. There are plenty of trees on offer here for shade if desired. Donations envelopes are located in the amenities block and can be returned to the Loddon Visitor Info Centre at 24 Wilson St, Wedderburn. The camping area only exists due to volunteers and the money donated goes towards the upkeep of the camping area.

Here you will find toilets, showers, picnic tables, wood BBQ's, water and dogs on a lead are permitted. Maximum stay here is 96 hours.

The nearest dump point is located in nearby Pioneer Caravan Park located at 61 Hospital St, Wedderburn.

We had the best time here and in town the locals could not be more friendly. The Museum in town is a must see and the Eucalyptus Stew pot at the camp is very interesting. We got our 11t Big Rig in here just before the big Jamboree and enjoyed the weekend a lot
