There’s no need to book at this charming setting; just roll up to the remote campground, pitch your tent and enjoy the walking and cycling tracks on offer.
The tall blue gums and blackbutts which surround this rustic campground in Watagans National Park make for a wonderful forest clearing for camping in. After you’ve settled in, why not take a walk along the Gap Creek forest walk? Or, venture to Monkey Face lookout for a spectacular view.
Make sure you bring a few comforts; plenty of drinking water and some firewood for those toasty times by the campfire. And while you’re relaxing by the fire, you’re likely to be serenaded by kookaburras, lyrebirds or the occasional after-dinner guest - the sooty owl.
