Address
Brand Highway & Mccartney Road Greenough, Western Australia, 6532
Greenough is roughly 4 hours, 15 minutes' drive north of Perth, and unlike any other historic town in Australia due to its exceptional preservation.
There are eleven delightful buildings for you to look through, each of which is filled with antique furniture and artefacts. Look through the first school in Greenough, imagine what it would have been like for prisoners on trial at the courthouse and visualise the community attending church on Sunday at one of three churches in the Hamlet.
Once you have completed the walk, return to the old store which has been converted into tearooms and enjoy the ambience of this historic town with a cup of tea and cake. Stop in at the historic café, The Hampton Arms Inn, for a coffee or bite to eat (closed Mondays).
Railway buffs will enjoy the Walkaway Station Museum, complete with refurbished locomotive and carriage.
All are open daily.
