The Location
Braidwood showground is located just minutes drive from the heart of historic Braidwood and adjacent to the King's Highway, and offers powered and unpowered sites for campers, caravans, camper trailers and mobile homes. Showers and toilets are available, and on-lead pets are welcome. A nearby dump point is available on Monkittee Street (over the bridge into Braidwood and turn left, well signposted behind a white picket fence).
Contact the Colonial Motel for availability and access. Comfortable amenities and a great location makes this an ideal place for the caravan traveller.

This is one of the better country showgrounds. Plenty of grass powered sites, many level. Amenities are old but adequate. Powered sites are $25 to be paid for at the Colonial Motel in town. No dump point but there is one in town. All in all worth a visit at such a good price. CMCA N113738

Book and pay first at the Country Motel in Braidwood. BYO toilet paper and paper hand towels. Basic, but great location if you want an overnight that's right on the highway. Driveway full of large potholes. Hot showers and hot sink taps very welcome in cold weather. Power poles and taps throughout site. Sadly a tap leaked (which we reported) profusely during our stay (4 nights), creating a quagmire and a lot of water waste. Cows got out from the adjacent property, so we assisted returning them once the farmer arrived. Just like a farm stay!
