The Location
Free camping sites are also available at the Collinsville Showgrounds for up to 72 hours. The camping ground offers space for up to 15 self-contained campers. There is shower and toilet facilities located on-site (fees apply). A coin operators laundry facility, a clean water tap for drinking water and a free dump point are also available.
Great lunch/dinner options are the Workers Club and the Pit Pony Tavern.

Neat, well cared for site in a very convenient position in town. There are no facilities but with a laundrette across the road in the motel and the working men's club next to that, offering reasonably priced meals it's not a big disadvantage. There is water and a dump point on the site and a supermarket just up the road. Very good as an overnight stop. Stays are limited to 72 hours but I don't think you would want to stay any longer.

Easy to find with new sign just erected (17th Dec 2015). There is a community shed where you can leave your receipts, swap books and local site papers. Very close to shops and Workers Club and Coal Museum is over the road. Great meals at the Club, good Bakery in the IGA complex in town a couple of pubs and newsagent & variety of shops etc. This is a new camp and they are still working on it. There is water on 4 or 5 taps as you enter so when busy may need a multi hose connector on board. Back into places to allow more room and connection to water.

What an absolute gem of a place. It has it all, $2 hot showers...5 minutes. Dump Point on site, some areas you can hook straight into potable water supply, super friendly caretaker. Short walk to the shops. Opposite Workers Club and Motel which has a laundromat. It does not get any better than this. Also they collect dockets to show how much is spent in town each month. Pet friendly too.

a great place to camp up for a maximum of 3 days. $2 coin operated hot showers. near new well kept facilities. great meals across the road at the Workers Club. roast pork & veg was amazing, even had crackling. great Workers burger with onion rings & chips.

Stayed 2 nights at this great facility. Very well maintained site and spotless amenities. The $2 hot shower is great. A quick walk to the main street and shops. The Workers Club opposite the park offers a great meal. Would stay again.

Overnighted here July 2017. Lovely stop but was a bit dry but the lawns in the central area were lush. There are shelter sheds, tables and seats. There is a dump point on site but it is situated back from the road and more suited to cassettes than holding tanks. Signs require you to be self contained but some obviously aren't.

This is the 4th year in a row that I have visited Collinsville Showground. The improvements are incredible. Since last year they have built a really good amenities block with toilets and the longest showers I've had for $2.
