Stayed 2 weeks. Great location just north of Cairns. Big shopping Centre at Smithfield is about 4kms away. Coles, Woolies, Mitre 10, Bunnings etc etc. Barron Gorge is very close. So is the Skyrail to Kuranda. Easy access to Atherton Tablelands area. Port Douglas is 55kms north. Easy drive back into Cairns for all the things it has to offer which is plenty. Caravan park has lots of different size sites. Some of the smaller ones can be a challenge. They have a tractor to park your van for you. No problems with our 8 metre motorhome & its flat towed Suzuki. 2 amenities blocks with multiple washers. Need more dryers when its busy & it rains. It rained just about every day when we were there. Usually overnight. Pool is good. Staff are helpful. June July & August are peak times. TV reception is bad. They have an in park system with loan co axial cables if you dont have your own. Hooked up to the parks system you can get all channels.
