We stayed for a week. This place is now owned by the Toowoomba Regional Council. There are 2 or 3 council employees and a bunch of volunteers. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Cost was $35 per night. The main building is a 2 storey affair and contains the office. Plaque on the door says 'Bank of NSW 1816'. The building is beautiful and deserves a good look around the office area. Do not think the rest of it is open to the public. I was told this is the oldest woodshed in Qld. There are quite a number of really old buildings and machinery scattered around in an exhibition and a couple of very large sheds which are worth a look. Toilets and showers are modern and well kept. The main camping area has about 20 sites with power and water. There are other sites scattered around that seem to have power but not water. It is very quiet and peaceful and the night sky is worth a look. My one gripe is the staff have a tendency to lump the caravans all in one spot on top of each other when there is room to spread them out a bit. Definitely worth a visit if you are out this way heading to Dalby and beyond.

We have visited here many times over the years, and this time we stayed in the attached caravan park for a few days. The caravan park is very well maintained, and the amenities are kept clean. We found our stay very peaceful and relaxing. We used it as a base camp for visiting many places in the area, including the Bunya Mountains, and Dalby. The historical village here is very good, however some of the buildings are closed for repair. I am a vintage machinery buff, and there is a very large display here. All in all a great place to visit and spend some time.

What a great place there are so many things to see and do whilst we were there. We were entertained by two local talented musicians (one has a talent I have never seen before but well worth while seeing) they played whilst we ate at the camp kitchen. You will have to visit to find out his great talent. There is also a dump point on site which is easy to access, no matter what size vehicle you have (drive through).
