Team Tripigy has visited and stayed at this location and we can highly recommend this caravan park.

This park is very tight and booking essential and even then you are not guaranteed anything more than the over flow area that is between the dump point, toilets, and highway and very smelly. As we found out the van park is a double strip between the beach and a four lane highway that is very busy. Having said that the staff were very helpful and understanding when we decided not to stay on the piece of nature strip they offered even though we had booked days earlier. We could not open our awning, there was no room, and the smell finally did it. Its the first time I have refused to stay. Unfortunately I think that says it all.

The park is well positioned on the beach. While there is some traffic noise from Farnborough Road it is not excessive. The amenities and camp kitchen are spotless though a little old. There where plenty of spare sites when we stayed in the off-season. The manager told us that it is essential to book during peak seasons. The town centre is a 15 minute walk and there is a courtesy bus for three of the clubs in town which have excellent, reasonably priced food. We would definitely stay again.

Amenities are old but always clean. Owners are waiting for Council to approve a lease with them. This will see all amenities be refurbished or replaced. Sites are quite good. No trouble in getting a site in the off season. I believe the high seasons, winter and school holidays sees the park at capacity and so booking is essential to avoid overflow sites. Great location right on the beach and walking distance to Yeppoon CBD.

We have stayed several times and is our favorite park on the east coast. It is truely beach front. Clean facilities, walking distance to shops and restaurant's friendly staff. Ticks all our boxes.

Whilst the park is ok, the overflow sites without power are a joke. They are 2 by 6 meters long. I have a small camper van. Could not open the awning, we were 4 meters from the dump point that stank and beside the fence backing on to a 4 lane highway that half the sites also back on to. Management were most helpful and understood when we decided to not take up the site offer. Its the first time i have actually rejected a camp site. Poor Yapoon has out grown its own capability to manage the influx of visitors. It used to be great.
