Stayed on beachfront site. Great views. Sites a bit small like most beachfront parks. Close to highway but no traffic noise. No shops around so you need to be stocked up before getting there. Park has a licensed bar but top prices so BYO. Amenities old but clean and functional.

As others have written it has nice ocean front, unpowered sites, and a good bar with meals, but the noise from Highway 1 which is about 150 meters away, is truck constant through out the night and loud. Then just to add a bit to the noise, the northern train line is between the highway and the park at about 100 meters and they run most of the night as well. If you can get in way down at the non powered beach front sites may help. We had booked two nights but only stayed one. The nearest IGA is 60km away so make sure you stock up with food and ear plugs.

Not a fan. Powered Sites are tiny, people had trouble getting out in the morning, waking their neighbour to move cars at 5.30am. Amenities are very old. Bore water Road & rail line right next to you. There is a mini mart attached to reception but didn't buy anything so not sure on prices. Bar & Bistro on site with basic meal selections which must be pre ordered. Beer garden is dog friendly. Park is on the beach if you are lucky to have high tide, low tide the water is way out. Some sand flys. Not sure about dump point, not on our map & wasn't told.

We stayed on a beachfront powered site in September 2016 . Yes they are a bit small but there are other options available including a large unpowered area. We were advised not to use the water as it was bore water and brackish even after boiling. We suggest filling water tanks before arriving. We also found the prices in the shop and bar quite a bit higher than surrounding large towns.
