Ranger appears to visit every day. Ground was wet with a few mud pools but had no concerns.

It is always a pleasure to return to this town and camping area. A good place to relax and restock. Visited the gannets at Point Danger and considered The Great South Walk but decided the legs would not last the distance. Portland is a great place to visit.

Great place for a stopover. Clean toilets, dump point and bins, and it’s free!

Great place to stay, great new facilities, new signage. Many thanks to community. Found the best fish and chips shop.

We have small pop top Toyota van and could not stay because we were not fully self contained. We do not require a shower every day and there were toilets on site. We find this discriminatory as caravans are allowed and at least one of them was so small it was not “self contained” Beware if you travel as we do!

Back here again after travelling northern states. Grounds very wet and somewhat muddy. Appreciate having this RV camping area. Lovely town to visit and great shops. Worth taking the drive out to Cape Bridgewater and the Blowholes. Nice to see the hay trucks heading north from this part of Australia.

Congratulations Portland..great free RV ground. Tram right there to take a trip through the town and back, hop on, hop off. $16 concession for day, well worth it. Aquatic centre right next door for a swim. DP. Toilet block. Flat ground.

Stayed here for 3 nights, great spot for exploring the town and local attractions, must be self contained as no facilities. Recommend taking the cable tram ride from the park through town to check it out.

This is a favourite site and the town on a sunny day is just beautiful. Previous visits had to include a fish and chip meal but the shop has closed. A great foreshore adventure is worth visiting. Ranger visits RV park daily. Congrats to the council for this park.

Positive - Thoroughly enjoyed this Park, tap for drinking water, clean toilets and rubbish bins provided, excellent access driving in or out to the dump point. Fenced secured area. Low level noise from road traffic.Level surface Ranger drives around documenting and taking photos of each and every vehicle, caravan, motorhome, camper with time limit of 48 hrs. The ground is very well grassed and kept short, lush and green. Close to tourist tram and tram museum. Negative - Lumber mill next to Henty Park operates 24 hrs and can be noisy through the night. People not obeying rules and allowing their mutt to wonder freely, a dogs age is no excuse and it is the rules to leash your pet especially when children are on the grounds.
