The Location

Camping area features: nestled in woodland between Canal and Eliot creeks, close to the famed scenic Eliot and Twin falls, this popular camping area is an oasis for travellers.

Location: close to the northern boundary of Heathlands Regional Park, at the joining of Canal and Eliot creeks.

Access: the camping area can only be reached by four-wheel-drive vehicles and off-road campervans and camper trailers. It is not accessible for caravans or conventional buses.

Number of sites: 31 numbered sites consisting of 16 tent sites, nine sites suitable for off-road campervans or camper trailers and six commercial operator sites (numbered 1 to 6).

Camp sites are suitable for: tents, campervans or camper trailers. Separate areas for commercial operators are provided. Car parking is provided adjacent to each site.

Camp site surface: dirt.

Facilities: drinking water, hybrid toilets, picnic tables and individual fire rings.

Open fires: allowed (except when fire bans apply) in existing fireplaces only.  Do not collect firewood from the national park. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: not permitted.

Essentials to bring: adequate food and drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent, screened tents or mosquito nets, a fuel stove, adequate fuel and spare parts for your vehicle. 

Bookings: book online, over-the-counter, at a self-service kiosk or by phone prior to arrival.
