The Location
This is a great free camping area located next to the local swimming pool. It is very large, grassy and has plenty of shade. They offer toilets, water, covered picnic tables, BBQ's, playground, dump point and pets are allowed. During summer, when the pool is open you can grab a hot shower when you go for a swim. There is some good fishing to do in the Murrumbidgee River next to the showground. A donation is appreciated to help fund the upkeep of the grounds and there are honesty boxes at the amenities blocks.
There are shops, cafes and a service station nearby as well for your convenience.

What a great spot. If you are staying remember the Motel down the road. Great meal.....big serve....and loved the staff and atmosphere.

This camping area is always a favourite and so welcome today to find shade in this heat. The Sir George Hotel is magnificent and a credit to it's restorers. Fuel price at the service station is good. It is nice to be able to set up without having to use ramps. A donation is worth all that Jugiong offers.

Great stop just off the Hume Hwy. With fuel avail, great meals at The Sir George and the Long Track Pantry, plus local wines seller and fresh fruit and veggies (each Wednesday) this is a great place to R&R. No time limit, huge space. Typically around 30 campers here but can be over 100 during long weekends and holidays. Toilets are well maintained and all they ask is a donation.

Still a great place to stop between Sydney and Melb. Huge area on the banks of the Murrumbidgee. Close to a nice pub.

Agree with previous comments. Still a top spot, even with 35+ heat. Found a shady tree which helped. At least the pub had a/c. Pity the pool was closed.

So much space and so many different areas to park up. Walk to the toilets, or make use of the Memorial pool, and finally wander to the pub or shops across the road. Great free camp. Donations a must…..

Great place to stay we were there for 3days beautiful peaceful great facilities. Town is gorgeous everything well maintained. Definitely be back. Our dog loved it as well. Great place for kids with park and pool so close.

Great free camp site. Large level grass areas cant ask for much more. Make sure you leave your donation before leaving.

We have returned to this great site once again. Plenty of room fires are OK unless instructed otherwise. There are a few changes since our last visit firstly there are now some potable water points we also learned that the Motel down the road actually has a bar and serves great meals. Warning order one between two or fast for a few days prior.

A huge area, some groups camping together but plenty of space to not be too close and plenty of green grass. Were hoping to launch the kayak but it's too big a drop to the river, still very nice.

Large area beside Murrumbidgee River, fishing, clean toilets, swimming pool, all during summer months. Children's play area, BBQ area. Donation box. Cafe for breakfast or lunch. Hotel. Fresh produce opposite the camp area. BP with fuel & cafe. Breakfast at Motel if required with restaurant. Horse yards if required, all animals OK. Hall available for Hire.

An amazing place to be able to pull into and chill out. Level ground and dump point very handy. Views over the river if you wish. Township very popular with visitors and worth patronage. The grounds have just been host to a polo crosse event so we are enjoying the residual perfume. Highly recommend breaking your journey to stay here

An excellent free camp with The George pub across the road. Fresh water taps are for all. Don't hook up to them and hog them. Very rude. Dump point near entrance. Toilet just outside gate, cleaned daily. Leave a donation next to toilets. Thank you Jugiong.

This is a great pkace for an overnight stop when travelling the Hume hwy. Its quiet and has plenty of room.

Always stay here on the way from Melbourne to Sydney. Plenty of space no matter the size of the rig. Pleasant aspect with wonderful cafe across the road. Clean amenities well maintained. Donation requested. Water, dump point available on site.

Great campsite with plenty of room. It is a shame the Pub is no longer open but there is a good cafe and sometimes fresh vegies at the market. There is a Donation Box near the toilet block please do the right thing as a lot have been avoiding it. There has been talk of it closing because of this.

Still a great spot. About 50 here tonight and many are dining at St George over the road. It is a huge area and many along the river bank. All here are well spaced out too.

Easily accessed from Hume Hwy. Large mowed grassed areas with shade near park and along river bank. Dump point and water available. Quiet, relaxed ambience. Pub available on Tuesday for dinner when Cafe closed. Swimming pool in summer and very clean amenities block, well worth a donation to keep area going.

Always stay here when travelling the Hume Hwy. Huge area with plenty of shade trees. Toilets are cleaned daily. Sir George Inn, Long Track Pantry, wine seller, servo, motel and more. Dump point is well maintained and there are water taps scattered around the area. Camp next to the Murrumbidgee if you like. You do get some road noise as the highway passes above the town.
