The Location
This 48hr rest area is located next to the Broken Creek. It offers shade here while you stretch your legs.
Here you will find toilets, water, picnic tables and dogs are permitted. Parking available for those staying in self-contained vehicles only.
A maximum of 15 RV vehicles parked on site at any time - If site is fully occupied please move on to another approved location or stay at a Caravan Park;
- Overnight parking of up to 48 hours only allowed;
- Only fully self-contained recreational vehicles are allowed – i.e. The RV vehicle must carry its own on-board water supply, washing and toilet facilities, and waste water tank;
- Dogs on a leash within the designated overnight parking area;
- Any fires to be within contained fire pits and within fire regulations;
- No laundry – clothes drying outside the RVs;
- No tent camping;
- No disposal of solid waste or discharge of waste water must occur. A RV dump point is available at the Numurkah Showgrounds and at the Numurkah Caravan Park.

If only other towns would have a set up for self contained like Numurkah has. Trees if you want shade. Fish in the creek if you are an angler. Toilets. Plenty of birds, and bats. Easy walk to the town which seems to have everything you may need. Only possible worry is that the ground may become boggy.

Only 2.5 hrs North of Melbourne Absolutely, 1/2 hour from NSW Border. ldeal stopover to or from trips up north. Absolutely beautiful camp along the banks of the Broken Creek. Lots of birdlife, walking tracks and only a 5 minute walk into town. Added bonus, there is a Gym and Heated Pool only 150 metres away which has showers available at a small cost.
