We drove the Old Telegraph Track - Southern Section (aka Old Telegraph Track) (Track Class = Very Difficult) on 11/08/2022. The track was in very poor condition. Weather conditions whilst on the track were dry. Driving a 79 Series, the track took 8 hours to complete (at a max speed of 15 km/hr). Obstacles/notable features on the track: Palm creek, gunshot creek (extremely steep drops/climbs), Dulhunty River, Dulcie Creek. Other important notes about the track: Southern section ends at Bamaga Rd. Continue north on Bamaga Rd to rejoin Northern section. Suitability for caravan = No, Suitability for camper = No. Overall rating of the track 4/5.
