The Location
This camping area is low cost and is located on the banks of the river. It is large and grassy. It has been recently rebuilt after being flooded twice since 2011.
The friendly locals have worked hard on rebuilding this camping area.
It has a new childrens playground for the little ones as well as netball courts, tennis courts and a football oval.It also a great spot for swimming, fishing, kayaking, birdwatching and just plain relaxing.
Here you will find toilets, showers, disabled access, picnic tables and dogs are permitted on a lead only.

Lots of good firepits along the river side but tree branches could be a issue. The river has lots of branches in it. Very overgrown at this time of the year and not many level sites near the fire pits. Good facilities but tokens required to use the showers. Amazing sports facilities for the area.

The locals have done a great job of rebuilding this facility with government funding after disastrous floods. The camping area is large and along the river bank, but much of the area is not level particularly for larger rigs. We stayed well away from the facilities and camped self contained. There are masses of bird life and early morning and late afternoon is noisy with the birds. There is a hotel nearby for meals if desired.
