The Location

Mackay Regional Council operates camping reserves at Seaforth.  It is located in some of the region’s most picturesque settings.  It offers grassy unpowered camping right on the beach.  The view is just magnificent.  It offers plenty of shade from the surrounding tall trees whilst also giving you plenty of sun for you solar panels.  It has a large playground for the kids as well.

The amenities offer toilets, showers which are kept clean.  The park is very well maintained and is a must stop on our list when we pass through.  There is a general store located 50 metres away with groceries, takeaway food and post office.  It's very popular in winter with the southerners escaping the winter chill.  It also has a dump point for your convenience.

No generators are permitted.

Bookings for Seaforth Camping Reserve can be made three months in advance (maximum). Phone 0427 373 358 or (07) 4966 4359 to make a booking. EFTPOS available at Seaforth Booking Office.

Good place to stay for a few days. No powered sites. Unfortunately we had a site near the amenities and the treatment plant, so we had constant bad smells invading our noses. Those in the know book a choice site 3 months in advance (which I regard as a little unfair). They then stay for months with sea views. (and no smells)

Poor value for money $25 per night. The facilities are poor. No power. Water has to be carried to your vehicle.

We were here in the off season. it was great. plenty of room to choose from. lovely grassy sites. close to general store if you want pizza or fish n chips. would definitely come again but wouldn't come in high season as I was told there is no room to move at those times.

If you’re looking for a peaceful bit of Paradise...this is it. No power but plenty of sunshine and friendly bird life could have stayed a month.

This is always a must stop when we are travelling through here. It's a fantastic low cost campground right on the beach. Bob the caretaker is friendly and makes you feel welcome. The grassy sites are great with plenty of shade yet you can also have plenty of sun for your solar panels. Definately recommend staying here.
