The Location

The Cunnamulla Tourist Park is located in a peaceful bush setting on the southern side of Cunnamulla, with the backdrop being the local sandhill.  The park is within walking distance of town.

The Cunnamulla Tourist Park is a great place to rest and explore the town and region. Visit the ‘Cunnamulla Fella’ Tourist Centre, learn about our vast underground water supply at the Artesian Time Tunnel or take a relaxing walk along the Warrego River.

Cunnamulla is located at the crossroads of the Matilda and Adventure Highways. It forms part of the Natural Sciences Loop, a route that highlights the natural attractions of the area. Cunnamulla is also the start of Opal Byway via Quilpie to Longreach. This is a fully sealed  drive, a great way to explore the magnificent Channel Country region at a more relaxed pace.

Nice park. Sites with grass all around. Toilet block is not new but very clean and well maintained. Quiet too away from main road

Manager needs to learn some basic customer service skills and the art of welcoming guests. Seems to think he is doing visitors a privilege being there so keep to the rules! Stop exactly where the sign says Stop! Basic camping facility, no extras, poor quality drinking water (no warning given). Crowded dusty sites.

Quiet and well maintained. Sites are level and very wide - we had room for our motorhome with annex and our toad alongside. The amenities block isn’t modern but is scrupulously clean with the vital basics like plenty of hooks in the shower cubicle, a synthetic bath mat (so no feet on the floor) and a shower curtain so the rest of one’s cubicle doesn’t get wet. The laundry has large Maytag dryers ($5) and the washing machines were $4 for a 30 minute cycle. Currently busy - when we arrived at 2pm, we were given the last site!

What a gem this park is, very proficient welcoming managers. Tracy & Dave run the park to a very high standard, we took them up on offer of stay 4 pay 3 which worked out @ $28.33 per night for powered water site, for 2 adults & a dog, no sardine packaging, lovely green sites with shade. Damper & charts around the campfire, drive through overnight sites, a great camp kitchen & amenities kept spotlessly clean. A nice gentle walk a couple of blocks to shops, pubs, pool & other outlets. We highly recommend a stay here & look forward to coming back again.
