The Location
This camping area is very large. The area is grassy and has plenty of trees for shade. There is a maximum stay of 72 hours. Self-contained vehicles only.
There is a good walking/cycling/horse riding track here - the Ballarat to Skipton Rail Trail (53km). Payment of fees is made via donation. Leave donation at Post Office, and if closed, leave in letterbox outside post office. You will need to call the telephone number located on the sign to register your stay. They will give you an access code to use the showers. There is an area that can be utilised for a "happy hour" campfire with wood supplied.
Here you will find toilets, showers, BBQ's, fireplace and dogs are allowed.

This is a lovely place to stop. Just ring one of the numbers on the main building for shower code. Donations at the post office opposite grocery store.....a good place to pick up a few supplies. No power. No generators after 9:30pm.

Certainly a great place to stay. There are no signs about the area being self contained, in fact, there were several tents there. There are notices about the maximum stay of 72 hours. The camp kitchen has a fire place, BBQ and power, although we didn't use it. There is also hot water on tap.

A lovely camp, the volunteers take care of the grounds. Camp kitchen, water taps, bins, toilets and the showers have reopened. We were happy to donate for such a good spot

Great for a couple of days, close to Ballarat. Can leave donation at servo as well as post office, easier Parking at servo. Please donate so they keep it open for us travellers. Only disadvantage is they are no free dump points around Ballarat.

Perfect spot. Not sure if I found the "old farts" sign at the front attractive or off putting. Plenty of space for everyone in a garden setting. There does seem to be a dump, rubbish bins, water. Thank you volunteers. Well worth a donation.

This is a great place to stay has plenty of space for our 33ft 5er, has dump point at front of toilet block. Looking for a night out you can't go past the Court House Hotel, great service and our meals were fantastic and less than a km from camp. Short trip to Ballarat. Could get a little boggy in wet weather where we were
