This small caravan park is located at the showgrounds/sports ground. Call the caretaker when you arrive (check the sign at the front gate for the number). They offer 8 powered and unpowered sites. There is a good choice of full sun or shade. It is open, large and grassy. Here you will find toilets with disabled access, showers, water, laundry, camp kitchen and dogs are permitted. Cash only.

I originally booked for 2 nights, but stayed 4. Lovely town, many examples of great gardens (particularly those with wonderful flowers in late Spring). Caravan Park is ideal for Dog owners wanting to exercise their animals as the town Oval is next is to the Caravan Park, and dogs are permitted.

Have just spent three nights here, great spot all sights have shade in the afternoon, excellent and clean toilets and laundry, great location for a few days exploring the Clare valley. $25 for a powered site, less 10 percent if you are a CMCA member, I did not volunteer my membership I was asked, the manager is a CMCA member, watched the local cricket team on Saturday and the local horse club workouts on Sunday. Hosts Sam and Maureen, couldn't have done more for us. To the moderators It is signed as the Auburn Recreational Reserve, and I would suggest that it be listed in GeoWiki as such, not the Auburn Caravan Park. It is more a rec reserve with some RV sites rather than a full blown CP

Lovely spot. No facilities for kids but everything else and dog friendly, just right for hubby and me. Manager very helpful and accommodating. About 14 powered sites and quite a few unpowered ones. Beautiful peaceful location.

A beautiful recreation reserve with camping on one side among trees, very well cared for. Great facilities, immaculate and caretakers very involved. CASH ONLY AS PAYMENT.

On impulse we followed the caravan signs to caravan park. Most surprised by the friendly caretaker and the other happy campers. Small caravan park clean amenties, book exchange, lovely spot with sports oval, wineries, a short work to the shops. IGA has everything you need and even has a hardware shop.

We are now staying in Auburn Caravan Parksports ground after reading not so good comments about Clare Caravan Park only 30 minutes south of Clare and its very friendly and only a walk away from the lovely town and right on The Reisling Trail fabulous if you like bikes or walking... Close to a number of great Wine Cellar doors and a walk from Horrocks. Very quiet and $25night. We are going to stay longer than planned and may drive down to The Barossa for a day trip before going back North the Flinders Ranges. It doesnt have a dump though. Lots of unpowered sites at $18night .... CMCA members get a 10 discount... Thoroughly recommended .... very friendly and helpful hosts and would definatey come back...

A wonderful park at the local sports oval managed with TLC by the great couple on care duty. Best homely camp kitchen and great laundry. 24 klms from Clare & smaller towns in between. Auburn, though small, kindly meets the needs of travellers. Quiet park yet all invited to happy hour. Lots of special little touches all around the park. This is a lovely area to visit. Well done to all involved!
