Devil Country Muster

When the family grows, well so must the family home. The patrons of the Devil Country Muster are like family but each year our family is growing.

The Rotary Club of Smithton’s Devil Country Muster that has had Trawmanna on Mella Road in Smithton as its home for the last few years, is now relocating out to the popular Riverbend Youth Centre complex on Trowutta Road about 10 minutes south of the Smithton CBD.

The Riverbend Youth Centre complex will allow the muster which is held in the third week of February each year to expand and continue to grow.

New event managers, the Publicity Stunt team are excited to be able to welcome the new venue which will see more room for more caravans and RV’s who come for the whole week each year.

A natural amphitheatre feel at the Riverbend Youth Centre complex along with wind protection from the large trees, will give patrons attending a wonderful experience and there is plenty of room for expansion in the future.

With more general parking, dedicated disabled parking, a playground for the kids and the gorgeous Duck River flowing by, we are already off to a great start.

It is a lovely drive along the Trowutta Road to reach the Riverbend Youth Centre complex and people may even be lucky enough to site one of the majestic eagles who live out that way or even spot the odd Platypus in the river stream.

The Rotary Club of Smithton are very excited about the new venue and outgoing event manager, Eric Marshall said, “Who would of thought all those years ago when we wanted to bring a live country music event to Smithton that a few years on we would be celebrating our 10th birthday at the 2023 muster and needing a much larger venue such as the Riverbend Youth Centre complex to achieve this. This great venue is right at our front door and the muster can stay in Smithton.”

With Adam Harvey leading a great line-up of Australian country music artists, patrons will be treated to some momentous events throughout the week with self-contained caravans and RV’s welcome to check in from Monday the 13th of February.

The Wednesday night will see the annual talent quest return with a sausage sizzle available to purchase, Thursday night Chris and Viv Boys are back to host and entertain the onsite campers and members of the public who come along and jump up and perform a song at the walk-up show. Friday night the Clinton Hutton Band will bring a great vibe to the Riverbend Youth Centre complex in readiness for a full program on Saturday, muster day.

Talented local duo, Breah and Shayla will kick the muster off followed by Col B Smith, Mike Carr and Gina Timms prior to the mainland country artists continuing the muster program well into the evening.

Aleyce Simmonds from Tamworth will join us for her first Devil Country Muster and returning in 2023 will be muster favourites, Justin Standley, Amber Joy Poulton, Pete Denahy, Dean Perrett, and Duncan Toombs along with the impressive muster band.

Sherry and Wayne Rand and Cooltrain will wind up the Saturday muster with a 2-hour live show from 7.30 pm. To bring the 2023 muster to a close will be the country gospel show on the Sunday morning.

A super early bird ticket special will start on the 1st of November 2022 where patrons will receive $10 off when they purchase a combined Friday/Saturday muster ticket.

Celebrating a ten-year milestone, this will be a muster not to be missed, at the new home of the Devil Country Muster, the Riverbend Youth Centre complex. 

Camping

 Opens at the Riverbend Youth Centre Complex at 9.00 am Monday 13 February 2023 (Closes 3PM Sun. 19th February)

$10 + GST ($11.00) per night per site - Maximum 2 Adults Per Site. (Children of Campers welcome).
