The Location

Camp at Broadwater Waterhole and relax in the shade of the coolibah trees. A variety of birds will greet you each morning.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Park-specific conditions:

Be alert and prepared for changes in weather. Even small amounts of rain on the park or in surrounding areas can cause floods at any time of year. If heavy rain or minor flooding occurs, move to higher ground.

Camping area features: bush camping surrounded by mulga and gidgee woodlands.

Location: camping area turn-off is approximately 5km from the park’s eastern boundary. Turn right and travel another 2km to the camping registration stand.

Access: the camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle, 4WD is recommended.

Number of sites: undefined.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping, camper trailers.

Camp site surface: dirt.

Facilities: none.

Open fires: campfires are permitted, except when fire prohibitions or fire bans are in place. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: not allowed.

Essentials to bring: all food and drinking water, sturdy rubbish bags, insect repellent, sun protection, first aid kit, reliable torch, vehicle spares and sufficient fuel.

Bookings: book online, over-the-counter or by phone.

Mobile phone coverage: unavailable; satellite phones and UHF radios (local channel 2 simplex recommended).
