This delightful park is situated on the Arnhem Highway approximately 50km along the road from the Stuart Highway turnoff or just over 100km from Darwin. It is a good place to break your journey into Kakadu. It was opened late in 1988 the year we arrived in Australia and has aged as gracefully with spacious green lawns and plenty of shade. It is ideal for campers caravans and motor homes with space too for fifth wheelers and converted coaches and busses. The campground layout is informal and most people are able to review the park before selecting their preferred spot. Powered and un-powered sites are available. The central amenities block houses the showers toilets and laundry. The Tavern provides meals from 6am until late there is a bar and bottle shop and seating is available inside and out and in the adjacent beer garden. Limited groceries are available. The bird life is prolific as are the wallabies. The on site menagerie features an albino and a black buffalo and a few piglets.
