We are still returning to Doon Villa Self Contained RV Park 4 years later as it is still the best value place to park for Big Rigs in Maryborough and we enjoy our time here each time we are passing through the area. It is becoming a very popular spot with RV’s and Big Rigs. The grounds are kept in excellent condition, well done Glenn Barsby and members of the Doon Villa Soccer Club, this place is a credit to you and provides a very necessary spot for Travellers to take a break and enjoy the sights and conveniences that Maryborough has to offer. ????

Stayed here for the night 20/6/17. Nice setup, flat area, another 15 rigs here and room for plenty more. Lovely clean toilets and very hot showers all for $10 per night which goes to the local soccer club, well done Maryborough we will return.

Chose this site over others and pleased we did. $10 per night. Adjacent to the local aerodrome, which was a WW2 training base for the RAAF. there were 30 assorted fully self contained RVs here and no one could say it was crowded. There are flushing toilets and hot showers 24/7 only a short walk away. Dump point and potable water on site as well. All funds raised go to the local junior soccer club. Your receipt can get you discounts at some local businesses. The man collecting the fees was happy to chat for a few minutes and explained how the self contained RV policy works. Well worth the $10 per night . The aerodrome sees light aircraft only, does not appear to be any larger or noisier aircraft. Very picturesque spot.

This is a gem of a place. $10 pnpv (Which ALL goes to supporting local kids sports) for self contained vehicles but the soccer club next door has very clean hot and cold showers and toilets that patrons of the RV Park are free to use. The manager Glenn Barsby made us feel very welcomed and is a wealth of information on places to go and see around Maryborough. We would highly recommend this place as it is central to everything, exceptionally clean, friendly, cheapish and all funds goes to supporting the local kids sports. The added bonus is that the 4G reception here is great???? If you have kids, buy a kite at the local shop as the wide open spaces make it perfect for kite flying in the late afternoon breeze. Also the dump point is free as is the water to top up your tanks. All in All, this is a great place for even the Biggest of Big Rigs.

We have stayed overnight here on three occasions in our motorhome, we are of the belief that this is a free campsite??? Suitable for big rigs, the grounds are well maintained and spacious, the dump point accessible to all rigs. Moderator - NOTE - site is not free - $10 PVPN

This brand new site was opened in March 2017 and is within the grounds of the Maryborough airport on the left as you drive in. There is a large area suitable for about 50 rigs. There are no facilities on site but showers and toilets are available at the football club next door who run the site and the dump point and potable water is nearby. There are trees around the site but not much shade. Site is about 5k from the town centre and shopping etc.

Staying tonight. Lots of room. No mention on GeoWiki about cost, but $10 to football club is fine. Haven't been to shower yet.

This is a fantastic location for the biggest of rigs with an expansive level flat area of green grass with a firm base in even the wettest of weather. It’s also a great spot to stay as it it central to Hervey Bay and all the Maryborough has to offer. Probably the best part is that your $10/vehicle/ night goes To the local kids sports teams. There are hot showers and toilets available as well as rubbish bins, potable water and a dump point.

Great level spot. Unhitch and see Hervey Bay, Fraser Island , coastal towns along Sandy Straits or head for a day trip to the north or south Burnett. Friendly collector of monies with a wealth of knowledge. Take a day or two to look at what the Heritage Maryborough has to offer. Great fish and chips shop opposite this club . Sporties down the road with courtesy bus service. Also RSL has courtesy bus. Butcher down the road with wonderful ham cured on the premises

This is a fantastic place to stay and at $10/night/vehicle it is great value for money. The very large open area is flat and level with plenty of maneuvering room for even the biggest rig. Fill up with water before you park up though. There is no power but generators are allowed at certain hours of the day and evening. The manager Glenn Barsby is very welcoming and visits daily. Glenn is a wealth of information on the history of Maryborough and the places to go and see. This is a great central place to park up and go visiting on day trips and see all that Harvey Bay has to offer. A SPECIAL NOTE: All proceeds from camp fees go towards the Kids sports club and their sports gear, so this is an added incentive to visit.
