About

The Location

This free overnight rest area is accessed off the highway by both northbound & southbound lanes via Hallow Drive.  You drive basically under the highway to reach the rest area which is actually quiet due to it's position and the large amount of trees here.  You do have some nice views over the mostly dry Lake George.

Here you will find toilets with disabled access, non-potable water, picnic tables, BBQ's and dogs are permitted.  It is named after Victoria Cross recipient Charles Anderson.

Nice site not too noisy but there is NO DUMP POINT as stated

Nice quiet spot, but unfortunately spoiled because of the mozzies, and vandalised blocked toilets.

Well maintained Rest Area which you access by going under the Federal Highway from Northbound lanes. Big rigs will have issues with this Rest Area as it is tight in places and parking is angle but a few rigs could park parallel on one driveway where there is no angle parking. This is a pleasant location on Lake George.

A great stopover. Toilets, picnic tables and BBQ. Views over the lake and tucked off the highway , plenty of trees. Lake was full of water on our visit which is most unusual.
