The Location
Southside Holiday Village is the highest ranked caravan park at 4 & 1/2 stars in Rockhampton located near the Tropic of Capricorn on the southern entrance to Rockhampton the beef capital of Australia. We are approximately 5 minutes drive from the Rockhampton city centre, and only 30 minutes to Yeppoon on the Capricorn Coast. This park is also a Top Tourist Park.
The City of Rockhampton is the hub of Central Queensland supporting the rural cattle farmers, local mining industry, Capricornia coastal areas, the outback regions and gemfields on the way to Longreach.
The village is a caravan park set amidst 10 acres of landscaped grounds lush with palms, tropical gardens and surrounded by lagoons. For your convenience there is a well stocked mini-shop on site for everyday supplies. We offer a variety of cabin accommodation and sites to suit couples, families, groups or corporate travellers.
Located on the southern entrance to Rockhampton, from the SOUTH we are 1.6km from the big Welcome to Rockhampton roundabout on the right. From the NORTH you need to travel through the city, across the bridge, keep following the Bruce highway and we are located on the left just before you leave Rockhampton. We are the only caravan village on the south side of the city.

OK, but after we had left, at 9:15, we were amazed to receive a text at10:02am asking us to confirm that we had left. What a cheek !

Our site was fairly small, but adequate for our 8 metre bus with awning. Strategically placed bushes and trees offer privacy and the grounds are well kept. Very clean toilets and showers with 3 blocks through the site, so never far to walk. Camp kitchen is a bit limited. They have a dump point and a well stocked shop in the office. Friendly staff.
