The Location
Set on a large natural bush setting site with beautiful views of the Campbell Creek estuary, Port Campbell Recreation Reserve offers a budget camping experience at its best. An affordable option whilst travelling along the Great Ocean Road. Facilities include powered and unpowered sites. The Camping Manager looks forward to meeting you all year round.
Fenced modern playground, football oval, cricket pitch and nets on the lower level.
Completed in 2013, their new amenity block offers female and male hot showers and toilets. There is also a separate family / disabled toilet and shower room. They provide a laundry with two commercial coin operated machines, sinks and a baby change station. External clothes lines, undercover barbecue area with two electric hot plates and sink.
Pets allowed on a leash. No campfires.
They currently run on a honor pay system so no booking required.

A bit overpriced for what you get. Powered sites are located farthest from the amenities block and being heavily tree lined do not dry out in inclement weather leaving them very boggy. All the amenities are in good condition and clean and there is plenty of hot water though this is the softest water we have come across in all our travels.

Site charge $10 per person unpowered is good value, given that the showers and toilets were excellent. So was the camp kitchen. Power, however was a very expensive $10 extra per site. Not many level sites

Site charges are now $16.50 per person non powered, powered sites are an extra $11, making it $44 a night for 2 people with power. Although expensive, it is pet friendly, which the Big 4 in town is not. Amenities are excellent, very clean. Site 9 is great for our 22 ft van and level. We are hear for 3 nighs.

Slopy sites and layout of sites confusing. Not value for money. One star rating for sites.

Heaps of room, most on a slight slope, great views and a 5 minute walk to shops, hotel etc. Very helpful caretaker that visits fixed hours.
