About

The Location

The secret is out. Until recently very few people had heard of Baffle Creek or what it has to offer. Roughly half-way between Gladstone and Bundaberg is the Baffle Creek Estuary System. Rated as near pristine, it is one of the largest estuary's in Queensland and is fed by numerous saltwater creeks. Bookings are essential.

The area is sparsely populated and there is little pressure on fish stocks. It is the best coastal fishing in Southern Qld. Baffle Creek was identified by Qld Fisheries research as having the highest concentration of Mangrove Jack on Qld's east coast.  Barramundi, Grunter, Flathead, Bream, Trevallly, Queenfish, big Whiting, Prawns and Mudcrabs also lure our visiting anglers.

If you're not into fishing, the area has some great bird and animal watching, not to mention kayaking, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, swimming or if you prefer lazing around on the beach or doing nothing.

The park has extra large shady sites. Camp fires are permitted in designated areas and pets are permitted by prior arrangement.

Located on the northern bank of Baffle Creek, they are only 3 minutes drive from Rules Beach and 10kms from the General Store with fuel and the Zincalumbar bar and bottle shop.

This is one of the most peaceful, quiet and safe parks you will ever stay at. Catering especially to nomads and serious fishermen.

We have just spent six weeks here in our motorhome, all site's are extremely spacious, there are a lot of tree's for shade, grounds are well maintained. Roger & Sally run the park with strict but fair conditions of entry. Lot's of Kangaroos and bird life. A fishermans paradise. Big Rig Serenity.
