Park your vehicle and take the Heysen trail along the river it's a couple of hours each way. Then at night watch the sunset

This is the best spot if you don’t need shade. You overlook the creek with great views without moving. Some info in a shelter shed. The rubbish bins are a few kms east and west of this camp. Many were camping in the shady level spots either side of the creek but you have to cross the gravel creek bed to get to most spots. There is room for 10 vehicles and the traffic stops at night.
