The Location

Camping is for those staying in a camper trailer or tent. Access is by 4WD or adventure motorcycle. 

Dang­gali Con­ser­va­tion Park pro­vides habi­tat to many bird species, from major mitchell’s to the rare mallee fowl, offer­ing inter­est­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties for bird­watch­ing. There is also a range of small rep­tile species such as skinks and you may also see red and west­ern grey kan­ga­roos graz­ing in the scrub along with shy echidnas.

Dang­gali Con­ser­va­tion Park and Wilder­ness Pro­tec­tion Area is locat­ed 90 km north of Ren­mark or 350 km north east of Ade­laide. Access is via Old Went­worth Road. Please take care dri­ving on the Old Went­worth road as there are many kan­ga­roos and envi­ron­men­tal con­di­tions com­pro­mise the qual­i­ty of the road. Con­di­tions can vary due to sea­son­al conditions. 

Aside from camp­sites, there are no oth­er facil­i­ties in the park. Vis­i­tors should ensure they car­ry suf­fi­cient water and food. You should advise a respon­si­ble per­son of the intend­ed dura­tion of your trip.
